Now in it’s 7th year, Writing-PAD – ‘Writing Purposefully in Art and Design’ – offers art and design institutions an arena in which to explore and develop the notion of ‘thinking through writing’ as a parallel to visual discourse in art and design practice. Writing PAD has not only brought together tutors from across the disciplines, but also from across roles: i.e. studio staff, theory staff, learning support, and learning and teaching (L&T) coordinators. Based at Goldsmiths, University of London, Writing PAD now works in conjunction with over 40 universities.
